Personal Trainer, Sports Therapist and Group Fitness Instructor
A successful athlete since her teens, Becky competed as a sprinter representing her county, the South West and Scotland. Culminating in a top-ten British ranking and an invitation to compete in the 1998 Commonwealth Games. It was only an injury that prevented her from attending.
Having decided her future lay in helping others to succeed in their sport, health and fitness ambitions, she took the sports coaching course at Liverpool John Moores University.
Becky's extensive knowledge of training and fitness and her deeply entrenched understanding and love of sport makes her a valuable member of the Core's team. Keen to instill her love of competitive sport and healthy exercise to everyone, Becky is passionate about making sport and exercise accessible for all. "The Wimbledon effect happens every year, where people dust off their Tennis raquets and run to the nearest court. I want to take that enthusiasm and get it to last longer than two weeks! If it's fun and you enjoy sport and exercise, the likelihood that you'll stick to it increases, so it's my job to make exercise fun so you come back for more!"
Becky is a qualified netball and an experienced athletics coach, level 3 personal trainer, metabolic typing consultant, Nordic Walking Instructor and GRAVITY personal trainer.
Becky is leading The Core's RENEW and Fitness for Life programmes working with clients with COPD, MS, Parkinsons and other chronic long term conditions.
