Moving Towards Natures Cures

What comes to mind when you hear the words Fitness! Exercise? Visions of lovely cellulite free beauties in lycra and muscle heads pumping iron perhaps?  “That will never be me” I hear people say.  I was once quoted “my darhling I don’t walk to the car!”  

So which am I? Neither.  I advocate great health and good living.  I normalize fitness.  I campaign to get the least active, active, equally the super fit fitter.  I support,nurture, guide and coach clients into a positive lifestyle change.

Normalising fitness is about empowerment. Finding the activity, movement and drive that floats your boat.  Never a chore.  Always a pleasure, leaving clients feeling invigorated, inspired and well.

It is the small steps and small changes that lead to huge improvements in your health and changes to your lifestyle.  Finding instructors, trainers and motivators to help you get on the right track without feeling awkward or intimidated. It certainly does not have to be in a gym and running.

In my experience my clients are motivated by goals, it might be to walk their daughter down the aisle or run Race For Life.  Goals are personal.  When you start to put goals in your life you begin to value your health and recognise that anything can be achieved and the world really does become your oyster.  

I loved to hear that Our Chief Medical Officer quoted in his annual report “The potential benefits of physical activity to health are huge. If a medication existed which had a similar effect, it would be regarded as a ‘wonder drug’ or ‘miracle cure’. “

 

So if I was in charge of the world for the day, I would wave my magic wand and ensure activity and fitness to be a part of everyones lives, just like brushing teeth and eating.

I challenge you to become more active. Still unsure? Why not try a class?  Laugh in Zumba, make friends Nordic Walking, discover Bootcamp  or simply relax in Pilates at the very least.
